The Unicorn is a 17th Century village Freehouse, serving memorable food and great beers and wines with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Relax and enjoy a great, British experience in our delightful garden or next to our roaring log fires.

Open every day from midday for lunch, and evening meals everyday from 6.30pm. Friday mornings for coffee and cake from 10.30am. We look forward to welcoming you at The Unicorn soon, whatever the occasion.

The Unicorn has been been awarded an AA Rosette for the last six years. The award is in recognition of The Unicorn’s outstanding food, prepared with care and skill and thus achieving standards that stand out in the local area. Only 10% of restaurants nationwide are of a standard that is worthy of one AA Rosette or more. The Unicorn is the number one choice of places to eat in our area for customers.

The long-established Rosette scheme recognises successful cooking at different levels across the UK. Success or failure in achieving Rosettes is based on one or more visits by an AA inspector to a hotel or restaurant.
