2.      MATTERS ARISING

2.1.Play Area

Cllr Missen reported that Park Leisure had visited the site and had carried out all the works recommended in the RoSPA post inspection report and that the play area was now in a very good state of repair.  The Clerk agreed to write a letter of thanks to Park Leisure and at the same time mentioning that although they had replanted the post on the rope walk it had unfortunately uprooted itself once more.

The Clerk reported that an item had been placed in the Crier requesting opinions of the residents of the village.  However, very little comment had been received.

Cllr Wiltshire reported that the drain problem had not yet been resolved.  Cllr Osborn agreed to investigate further and will report at the next meeting.

5.      CORRESPONDENCE

6.   ANY OTHER BUSINESS

6.1.New Street Lights & Traffic Calming - It has been noted that one of the new street lights has been connected and is working but there are still more to be connected.  The Clerk agreed to follow this up.  Once the street lights were correct it would then be an appropriate time to discuss the requirements for traffic calming, including moving the 30 mph speed limit signs further out from the village.

6.2Orchard Ground Extension – Cllr Vale advised that the project had been put out to tender and three had been returned – this is still under discussion.  Cllr Vale asked that all invoices be put through the Parish Council No. 2 account ensuring that funds are available.  The Parish Council agreed.

6.4 Cllr Vale reported that there was a large amount of dog fouling on and around Orchard Ground despite the dog bins.  After lengthy discussions it was decided that Cllr Vale would raise this issue at the next Orchard Ground meeting to ask what action was thought to be relevant.

8.   DATE OF NEXT MEETING

The date of the next Parish Council Meeting would be Tuesday 12th July 2005 at 8.00 pm in the Village Hall.
