Cublington Cricket Club -
Aylesbury Vale South Sport Council - "Club of the Year 2006"

Awarded by Aylesbury Vale South Sports Council in recognition of our success on the field and off it at all levels.
It has been a very good season for the club all round. Well done to all concerned - a huge tribute to those participating both on and off the field. The Club picked up the award at Aylesbury Rugby Club, on the 27th November. See picture

Triumphant 1st and 2nd X1's are division champs!!
U17's win 2006 county title

With victories in their last league matches the 1st X1 and 2nd X1 extended their already unassailable leads at the top of divisions 2 and 6 of the Four Counties League. Many congrats to Jamie Leggett and Robin Harrhy and John Osborne and Niall Mackay who have skippered the teams to victory.

It has been a magnificent season for the whole club, with all teams performing well and with 3 major trophies won. Many people have remarked about the rapour between the players in all teams and it has been this tremendous club spirit, built over many years that has helped the club achieve. Whilst all players, young and old are to be congratulated, there are many other roles that have been crucial to our success.

The work Robin and his team does on the ground is outstanding and this year in particular the ground has looked a picture and the square has been the envy of many visiting teams. Our 3 umpires (John, Tom and Mike) have officiated in every League 1st X1 match as has Mary (our scorer) and the time and expertise they have put in has been appreciated by all.

The list of people who have contibuted is long and impressive - the junior managers and coaches, junior scorers, umpires, parents, the tea ladies, Colin Wilson and his Social Action Group, our treasurer Chris Stones, press secretaries, The VP's, Our webmaster Gary Brazier, our sponsors, advertisers, supporters........ Over 50 people contribute in some way (off the pitch) to making this club work and it is the enthusiasm and dedication they give to their roles which makes it all possible.
