Rowles carries his bat with 83 not out

The rain stayed away to allow Cublington's under 15 team to take on Wendover in the Aylesbury and District League. Cublington remain unbeaten this season, and a 71 run victory was notable for a magnificient 83 not out from Cublington's opening batsman, Joshua Rowles. Ably assisted by his fellow opener Chris Nixon (50) and number 3 bat James Alexander (17 not out) Rowles hit an incredible fourteen 4s and one mightly 6 over the covers in an innings of control and elegance. The opening partnership put on by Rowles and Nixon of 133 is unlikely to be matched at this level.
