Cublington were well beaten in this Bucks County Board league game by a really excellent all round performance from Chesham. The visitors are top of the BCB U11 Conference 3 and you could easily see why as they worked the ball into the gaps for singles when required and hit the bad balls for four to rack up a huge total of 339 for 3. In reply Cublington couldn't handle the unrelenting pressure exerted by the Chesham bowlers who conceded only a handful of extras between them and reduced Cublington to 147 at the end.
Highlights for Cublington included wickets for Rosie Reilly (1-16), Jack Ash (1-14) and Declan Carroll (1-14), who also took a good catch just behind square on the leg side. Our batting struggled but Jack Ash and Sam Carter top scored with 14 and 16 respectively. Overall Chesham were very good value for their win and will surely go on to win Conference 3 comfortably.
Thanks go to Vince Perry for scoring and to John Rickard for preparing the drinks despite carrying an injury. You can follow our progress in the Bucks County Board League U11 Conference 3 by clicking on the following link;
