Cublington beat Ivinghoe & Pitstone by 67 runs to move a step nearer to winning the ADL U11 North division and earning a place in the play off final against the winners of the ADL U11 South for the coveted U11 ADL Champions crown. Taking wickets on a regular basis they reduced I&P to 209 for 8. Best bowling from Kit Gordon-Stuart taking 2-4 with his leg breaks and Alex Inglis and Jack Ash who both took two wickets apiece.

In reply CCC struggled with the damp wicket against a good opening attack, losing early wickets but lower down the order Jack Ash completed a fine all round contribution by clubbing 24 not out including a fine pull for six. In the end Cublington finished on 276 for 5 in what was at times a closer contest than the final scoreline suggests.

Thanks go to Jean Lawson for scoring and to John Gordon-Stuart for lending consultancy support and umbrella cover to the scorer. You can follow our progress in the Aylesbury & District League U11 North by clicking on the following link;
